TRACE's XplorerPlus analyzer represents the technological evolution in elemental combustion, consolidating the legacy of the Xplorer systems.
Incorporating proven TSHR combustion technology, this advanced platform combines innovation, reliability and performance to meet the needs of research centers, manufacturing facilities and test laboratories in the energy and chemical markets. Maintaining its compact benchtop format, the Xplorer Plus incorporates a completely redesigned internal flow path. This ensures superior precision, increased robustness and unmatched reliability for trace analysis of Total Sulfur (TS), Nitrogen (TN) and Chlorine (TX) across a wide range of matrices: automotive fuels, chemicals, additives, solids, gases and LPG.
Key Features
- Xpro Plus Furnace Tube: featuring a dual-collision design with an extended flow path, it significantly improves accuracy and precision. It requires no consumables and handles virtually any matrix, ensuring reliable and seamless results.
- Liquid Module Plus: offers faster and more precise temperature control up to 600°C, expanding sample compatibility and increasing laboratory productivity.
- Versatile introduction modules: the redesigned syringe and boat modules improve ease of use and data accuracy, reducing analysis times. The optional Boat Cooling Plus module uses Peltier cooling for liquid samples, accelerating cup cooling and reducing analysis time to less than 5 minutes.
- NO-CT™ (Nitrogen Oxide Correction) technology: eliminates nitrogen interference in total sulfur analysis according to ASTM D5453, ensuring accurate results even in samples with high nitrogen content. The correction is applied automatically by the software.
- TraceLINK software platform: an intuitive interface guides the operator through routine analyses, allowing them to edit sample lists, evaluate data and export results to LIMS systems in just a few clicks.
Operational performance
- The TS-UV-F detector ensures robust flash lamp alignment, extending its life and improving long-term stability for trace sulfur analysis.
- Achieves detection limits of 10 ppb for total sulfur and nitrogen without additional modules.
- Micro-coulometric measurements of chlorine and sulfur are seamless, thanks to the Auto-Gain function for accuracy and simplified cell preparation.
Application Areas
- Refinery Products: diesel, gasoline, naphtha, distillates, crude oil, mineral oils, and pyrolysis oils
- Renewable Fuels: UCO, FAME, SAF, HVO, VGO, HAFAS, B100 and biodiesel blends
- General Chemicals: organic chemicals, light hydrocarbons, refinery intermediates
